This Privacy Policy explains how LANSTAR INTERNATIONAL MEDIA LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and stores personal information when you use the Mochi website at https://www.sweetbite.live/, including related subdomains, and any Mochi mobile application that links to this Policy (together, the "Service").
Mochi is the name of our short-drama service. It lets you browse and watch series, keep a library and watch history, buy coins, and subscribe to Premium.
Please read this Policy before you use the Service. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service and do not give us personal information.
This Policy does not cover third-party sites, apps, payment companies, or advertisers that you reach through the Service. Their own privacy terms apply to them.
1. Who we are
1.1 For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the UK GDPR, and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, LANSTAR INTERNATIONAL MEDIA LIMITED is the controller of your personal information. Mochi is the name of the Service. Our registered address is UNIT 11, 9/F THE CLOUD NO.111 TUNG CHAU ST, HONG KONG.
1.2 You can also reach us through Help center in the Service when that channel is available.
1.3 We decide why and how your personal information is processed for the purposes in this Policy. Service providers that process information only on our instructions act as our processors.
2. Information we collect
(a) Information you give us
- (i) Guest account. You use the Service as a guest. We create a Mochi user ID for that guest session so coins, unlocks, history, and an active Premium subscription can stay with you. The Service may show that ID in your profile. We do not collect an email address, a password, or a Google or Facebook identity for you to use the Service. An email address you later bind for a subscription cannot restore a lost guest session. If you set a display name, we store that.
- (ii) Email when you subscribe. We do not collect an email address for sign-in. When you subscribe, you bind an email address to your account. We send a one-time code to that address and keep a record that the code was requested and whether it succeeded. After you enter the code, we store that address and use it to send notices about your subscription, including when Premium starts and when a cancellation succeeds. Binding that address is not, by itself, consent to marketing email.
- (iii) Profile and settings. We store settings you choose, such as playback quality, autoplay, auto-unlock with coins, and interface language.
- (iv) Support messages. If you contact us, we collect your message and any email address, user ID, text, image, or other file you send so we can respond.
- (v) Surveys and promotions. If you join a survey, contest, or promotion, we collect the details that activity asks for, such as contact details needed to administer it.
(b) Viewing, library, and search
When you use the Service we collect:
- series and episodes you open, how far you watch, and how long you watch;
- titles you save to your library, your watch history, and episodes you unlock;
- search queries and how you move through pages;
- coin balance, coin spend, and subscription status.
We use this to play the video you request, remember your place, show your library and history, and recommend series.
(c) Coins, Premium, and payments
Coins unlock episodes. Premium is a paid plan that unlocks episodes and removes ads. When you buy a coin pack or a subscription, we collect order details such as the product, amount, currency, time, transaction reference, and whether payment succeeded.
Card numbers and similar payment credentials are collected by our payment processor, not stored by us as a full card record. We receive the result of the payment and the details above so we can deliver coins or Premium, show your balance and purchase history, and handle chargebacks or accounting.
The product page states that coins do not expire and that coin purchases are non-refundable. Those commercial terms are in the Terms of Service. This Policy covers the records we keep about those purchases.
(d) Information collected automatically
When you access the Service we collect technical and usage data, such as:
- IP address and the approximate region derived from it;
- browser type, device type, operating system, language, and screen characteristics;
- referring URL, pages viewed, and standard server logs;
- cookie identifiers and similar IDs stored on your browser;
- on a mobile app, a resettable advertising identifier such as the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Android advertising ID, where you allow it;
- app version and crash or performance data, if you use an app version of Mochi.
We use approximate location from your IP address to secure the Service, choose a language, and meet local legal requirements. We do not ask for precise GPS location for the features described in this Policy.
(e) Information from others
We may receive information about you from payment processors about a transaction, from advertising and analytics partners in the form of campaign and measurement data, and from someone who mentions you in a support request. We may also receive information that you have made public.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and keep your guest account;
- stream series, save progress, and show your library, history, unlocks, and coin balance;
- complete purchases, deliver coins and Premium, and keep transaction records;
- send service messages, including security alerts, purchase confirmations, and the one-time code we send when you bind an email to subscribe;
- send marketing about Mochi where the law allows it or you have agreed, and stop when you opt out;
- recommend series and arrange the Service in a way that fits how you watch;
- show ads on the free experience, measure those ads, and turn ads off for Premium;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and misuse of the Service;
- fix errors, understand performance, and improve the Service;
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims;
- complete a merger, financing, or sale of the business, if one happens.
We may combine the information above for these purposes. We may also create aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you, and use that data for analytics and to operate the business.
(a) Recommendations
We use viewing and search activity to suggest series. This is automated and is used to personalize the Service. It does not produce a legal effect on you or a similarly significant effect. You can object to this use by contacting us at [email protected].
(b) Marketing
We send marketing email only where the law allows it or you have agreed. You can opt out by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by writing to [email protected]. We may still send non-marketing messages about your account, purchases, and security.
(c) Push notifications
If you use an app and allow notifications, you can turn them off in your device settings.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar tools.
- (a) Strictly necessary. These remember your guest session, keep the Service secure, and complete a purchase. The Service does not work properly without them.
- (b) Preferences. These remember choices such as language and playback settings.
- (c) Analytics. These help us see which pages and features are used.
- (d) Advertising. On the free experience, these help us and our advertising partners show and measure ads. Premium is offered without ads.
Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before we use non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may end your guest session or prevent checkout.
We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them. You can still use the choices in this Policy.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.
- (a) Service providers. Companies that host the Service, deliver email, process payments, provide customer support, detect fraud, and measure audiences. They may use the information only to perform those services for us.
- (b) Advertising partners. On the free experience, advertising and measurement partners may collect or receive device and cookie identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data (such as whether an ad was shown or clicked) to deliver and measure ads. Premium removes ads in the Service.
- (c) Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful government request; to enforce the Terms of Service; to detect or prevent fraud and security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LANSTAR INTERNATIONAL MEDIA LIMITED, our users, or others.
- (d) Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor this Policy or ask for your consent where the law requires it.
- (e) With your direction. We share information when you ask us to.
We do not share your email address with advertising partners so they can advertise to you off the Service. De-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you is not treated as personal information.
A list of the main providers we rely on is available on request at [email protected]. We will update this Policy if we add a provider that changes the categories of information we share.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy, and then we delete it or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law. Every account is a guest account. We may retire a guest account that is no longer being used. Retiring it closes the account under the Terms of Service.
- (a) Guest account profile, library, history, settings, coin balance, unlocks, and Premium status: while the guest account remains open. The account remains open while you can still use that guest session. Coins do not expire during that time. If you lose the session, or we retire an inactive guest account, the account is closed and unused coins are forfeited as described in the Terms of Service.
- (b) Profile, library, history, and settings after the account is closed or retired: for a limited period, then deleted or anonymized.
- (c) Purchase and subscription records: for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and disputes.
- (d) One-time codes used to bind an email when you subscribe: for a short period, then deleted.
- (e) Server and security logs: for a limited period needed for security and debugging.
- (f) Support and privacy-request correspondence: for as long as needed to handle the request and show that we complied.
If we stop operating the Service, we will stop collecting personal information and delete or anonymize it, except where the law requires us to keep it.
7. How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limits on which staff and providers can see account data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data breach creates a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities when the law requires it.
8. International transfers
We may process personal information in the country where you live and in other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country that does not have an adequacy decision, we use an approved safeguard, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement, plus any extra measures the law requires. You can ask for a copy of the relevant safeguard at [email protected].
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we process personal information about you and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing for direct marketing and the recommendations described above;
- withdraw consent, where we rely on consent;
- receive information you provided in a portable format, where this right applies;
- appeal a decision we make about a request.
You can make a request at [email protected]. We may need to verify that you control the guest account and, if you have bound an email address, that you control that address before we act. We will respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
You can also use controls in the Service:
- view your user ID, library, watch history, purchases, and coin balance in Me;
- change playback and language settings in Settings;
- sign out in Settings;
- bind an email address when you subscribe and confirm it with the one-time code we send;
- unlink future marketing by using the unsubscribe link or emailing us.
To close your account and ask for deletion, email [email protected] and tell us your user ID. If you have bound an email address, send that request from that address. We may refuse a deletion request where we must keep information for legal, security, or accounting reasons. We will tell you if we do.
10. Age requirement
The Service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Service and do not send us information. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, contact [email protected]. If we learn that we have, we will delete the information and close the account.
11. Hong Kong
The company address in this Policy is in Hong Kong. Where the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance applies, you may ask to access your personal data and to correct it if it is inaccurate. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. Contact us first at [email protected].
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, our providers, or the law. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you advance notice by a notice in the Service or, if you have bound an email address to your account, by email to that address. Where the law requires consent to the change, we will ask for it before the change applies to you.
13. Language and governing law
This Policy is written in English and may be translated. If a translation conflicts with the English text, the English text controls.
This Policy is governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising out of this Policy are resolved as set out in the Terms of Service, except that nothing in the Terms of Service limits rights you have under data-protection law that cannot legally be waived.

California residents
This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Policy. It uses the meanings of "sell" and "share" in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").
(a) Categories we collect
In the 12 months before the date of this Policy, we collect or have collected these categories, from you, automatically from the Service, and from payment providers:
- identifiers, such as name, email address, user ID, IP address, and online identifiers;
- commercial information, such as coin purchases, subscription status, and unlocks;
- internet or network activity, such as browsing, search, watch history, and interactions with the Service and with ads;
- approximate geolocation, derived from IP address;
- audio, electronic, and visual information, such as files you send to support;
- inferences drawn from the above to recommend series.
Sensitive personal information we may process is limited to the one-time code we send when you bind an email to subscribe and the contents of messages you send us. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes permitted by the CCPA, such as providing the Service you request, securing accounts, and preventing fraud. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
(b) Sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
We may share identifiers and internet activity (such as cookie IDs, advertising IDs, and IP address) with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising on the free experience. Under the CCPA, that can be "sharing."
To opt out of that sharing, email [email protected] with the subject line Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We will also honor a valid browser-based opt-out preference signal where we are required to. Opting out does not stop all ads. It limits use of your information for cross-context advertising. Premium does not include ads in the Service.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
(c) California rights
You have the right to know, the right to access and receive a portable copy, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may make a request to know up to twice in a 12-month period.
Contact [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 90 days in total. You may use an authorized agent. We may ask for proof that the agent is allowed to act for you, and we may still ask you to verify your identity. We do not charge a fee unless a request is excessive, repetitive, or unfounded.
We do not offer a financial-incentive program that depends on you allowing us to sell or share personal information.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
This section applies if you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. If it conflicts with the rest of this Policy, this section prevails.
Controller. LANSTAR INTERNATIONAL MEDIA LIMITED is the controller of your personal information. Registered address: UNIT 11, 9/F THE CLOUD NO.111 TUNG CHAU ST, HONG KONG. Email: [email protected].
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR requires a representative in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, use the same email to reach the controller. If a representative has been appointed, we will give you that representative's name and contact details on request.
(a) Legal bases
- Guest account, playback, library, coins, and Premium: Contract.
- One-time codes, purchase records, and customer support: Contract.
- Security, fraud prevention, and debugging: Legitimate interests.
- Series recommendations: Legitimate interests. You may object.
- Optional marketing email, non-essential cookies, and personalized ads: Consent.
- Keeping tax and accounting records, and answering lawful requests: Legal obligation.
Our legitimate interests are running a safe short-drama service, understanding which parts of the Service work, and recommending series you are likely to watch. You may object where we rely on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue, or we need the information for legal claims. If you object to direct marketing, we will stop that marketing.
(b) Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
(c) Automated decisions
Recommendations and ad measurement do not produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce those effects. If we start doing so, we will tell you and, where required, ask for your consent.
(d) Transfers
See section 8. You may ask for information about the safeguards we use.
